Cadet Kaitlin Adlam on our first CFOT community worship experience…
Our journeys to this place have all been vastly different. Each one of us has experienced times of distress and joy, of fear and peace and the unfamiliar. It has been a whirlwind. The Messengers of Light have gathered as strangers in an unfamiliar setting. The Heralds of Grace return from a time of affirmation back into the uncertainty of studies, to new faces and different dynamics.
With all the uncertainties and unique perspectives, we gathered for the first time in one accord to worship our God. United we came together with a common calling and desire to share the love of Christ with the world.
We were blessed with a morning service that reminded us that we are bound together on this journey to encourage each other. We also began a journey of affirmation, reflecting on the word given to us in 2 Peter 1:10 that say, “Therefore, my brothers and sisters make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble”.
In this we can make our calling apparent to the world around us.
Our training community was also blessed and affirmed through the testimonies given to us by the Heralds of Grace, returning from their summer assignments, on how God is moving in our Territory and Internationally.
Together Cadets and Training Staff indeed have begun this leg of our journey strong, with encouragement and the blessing of an amazing community that gathered together in the name of Jesus Christ.
